Summer Eyes

We had the fantastic opportunity this week to photograph an old co-worker of mine in Old Folsom. We haven’t done any sessions there in quite a while, but it was fun to see the little downtown again in a new way. Bridget was such a good sport and I could not get over this teal wall behind her with her eyes! I just had to share. And I also wanted to let everyone know that are STILL photographing, and will until the baby comes in July. After that we hope to start up again in September. Until then, enjoy!

The Littlest Princess

This past Saturday we spent time with this beautiful baby and her parents for one of the most fun photo sessions we’ve ever done! This little one’s mommy had put together some fabulous outfits (and coordinating tutus!) for her to model. She was so sweet and curious, looking around and touching everything – and that red hair and those blue eyes! What a doll. My favorite outfit though had to be this first one, from her aunt’s wedding last week. (of course I’m probably partial to it since her aunt was one of my first young women I had the opportunity to serve.) This little one sure is blessed with an amazing family! We hope you love this picture preview as much as we do.

Olivia

Today we ventured out to Lincoln for some New Year’s Eve senior portraits. I have known this girl since she was born and it was so much fun getting to see her all grown up and ready to graduate from high school! She is so adorable, very artistic and into dance. I love this girl! These pictures of course are just a sneak peek. More to come soon!

The Hupcey Family

We spent a BEAUTIFUL afternoon up at Apple Hill with this little family. It was the first time we got to meet baby Gabe after taking maternity pictures with Kelly and Blair last winter. The fall colors were fantastic, and of course watching Gabe laugh with his parents was heartwarming. We also got to check out the Boeger Winery as well as a blacksmith shop and homespun yarn studio (amazing!) Thank you, Kelly and Blair, for treating us to an awesome Saturday – we hope that these new family pictures will brighten up your first home!

Brianna & Sean

This past Friday we spent a gorgeous day up in Foresthill for the wedding of our good high school friends, Bri and Sean. The Forest House Lodge turned out to be the perfect November mountain venue for their day! Aside from being FREEZING cold outside (literally, it started snowing during the pre-ceremony pictures) the view was breathtaking and the weather could not have been more ideal coming out of a rainy day before. It was so fun to see friends and join in celebrating their wedding. Every detail came together, and Bri was absolutely glowing! Their wedding couldn’t have been more perfect and we’re so glad that we had the opportunity to be a part of their day. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Ostendorf!

B Squared

Let us introduce you to one of our new favorite locations! This fantastic trail in Folsom leads to the lake, and we had a beautiful afternoon capturing the sunset with our awesome friends, Ben & Breanna. They always keep us laughing whenever we’re together. The night consisted not only of fun pictures, but some yelling in a restaurant, smashing plates, a fire-breathing forcefield dog, late night ice cream, and Norse mythology too! You never know what you’re going to get on a Friday night in Roseville :) We hope you enjoy the pictures, and thank you to our BFFs, the Bakers, for an awesome time!

Second Shooting for Brooke Trogdon Photography

We had the great opportunity this past weekend to second shoot a wedding with Brooke Trogdon Photography. We have known Brooke for a couple of years and she has been awesome to work with. It was so great to see this beautiful couple get married! It was an interesting perspective being the team to get the background pictures and the details while Brooke worked with the families for the main images. It was a really awesome experience. Both the bride and groom come from Chinese families and incorporated a tea ceremony into their day. Not to mention the bride was absolutely stunning and the weather was perfect! Thank you again, Brooke, for inviting us to come along and share this wedding with you!

Flowers from Bay

My awesome friend Bay brought me these flowers for my birthday. I LOVE having fresh flowers in the house. They smell so pretty and just create such a fresh look. Thank you to our good friends who liven up our lives and fill our house with color and fun!

The Happiest Baby

This weekend we participated in a fundraiser for our scout troop. Jon is one of the young men leaders and so we were asked to take a few pictures at the dinner. Some of my favorites were of this cute kid! He is so photogenic – not to mention having the most perfect hair I’ve ever seen. What a little heartbreaker!

The Wild Goffenson Cats

Our friends Tim & Ali were nice enough to feed us on Monday and let us chase their cats around the yard. These beauties are Spock, Lily and Finn. Even though they were wild and elusive, we managed to get a few good ones to help Tim & Ali remember their babies while they are in IRELAND this fall (so jealous). Have a safe semester abroad!
